PRINT STUDIO

Our printmaking studio is a dedicated space for creative collaboration and community-driven projects. We offer access to the studio for our artists in residence to produce work that challenges the status quo and supports meaningful social change.

Our printmaking studio remains an essential resource for artists and organizations to create work that engages and transforms the community. With ongoing partnerships like Islam & Print and JessJessPress, the space continues to serve as a hub for creativity and social change.

Recent and Ongoing Collaborations

Islam & Print Fellowship (2023–Ongoing): Led by Dan Flounders and Safiyah Cheatam, this biannual fellowship supports emerging artists while highlighting diverse Muslim experiences. The fellowship continues to use our studio to create impactful work and foster regional artist networks.

JessJessPress (2024–Ongoing): An emerging press dedicated to uplifting queer, fem, and artists of color in the comics and publishing industry. JessJessPress, a 2024 MICA UP/Start venture winner, will be hosting paid workshops this summer, offering local artists the chance to engage with the space and expand their creative practices.

Past Collaborations

NoMüNoMü and their collaborators (2023–2024): Used the printmaking studio to create prints for fundraising, protests, and other advocacy efforts.

Charles Mason III and Dan Flounders (2024): Created a limited edition of prints to support the Two Lane Stories Endowed Fund, benefiting emerging artists at Morgan State University. This was a one-time collaboration.
