Artists-in-Residence

At Making Space Bmore, we believe that collaboration is key to fostering lasting change. Our Long-Term Artists-in-Residence are at the heart of our work, creating opportunities for artists, activists, and organizations to come together and drive social impact.

In the summer of 2025, we launched the Third Place Artist Residency, a six-to-eight week opportunity encouraging artists to explore the concept of the Third Place—a space for artistic expression, collaboration, and community exchange that exists between home and work.

Residencies are currently by invitation only.

The Third Place Artist Residency

Launched in 2025, this residency invites artists to explore the concept of the Third Place—a space for artistic expression, collaboration, and community exchange that exists between home and work. Participating artists present and create in our multipurpose community lounge, experiment with new practices, and investigate the role of art in transformative social change. Artists also activate the space and engage community through public programming.
